NervAlign® Nerve Cuff
The NervAlign® Nerve Cuff is a decellularized porcine pericardium membrane designed to provide non-constricting protection for peripheral nerve repairs.
Thin and pliable following hydration, it can be easily trimmed and affixed intraoperatively, conforming to the repair site.
Key Features
NervAlign® Nerve Cuff Application
The Critical Difference
The NervAlign® Nerve Cuff is manufactured using the eCOO® method, a proprietary advanced manufacturing process for cleaning and decellularizing tissue. Histological analysis demonstrates that the eCOO® method produces a cleaner scaffold compared with a typical SIS membrane.*

Typical porcine small intestine submucosal (SIS) tissue

Yields a collagen membrane that is clean and pliable while maintaining its structure
Dark blue stain indicates residual contaminating native nuclei
Beyond Gas, Beyond Liquid
When heated and pressurized beyond its critical point, carbon dioxide becomes a supercritical fluid which diffuses like a gas and cleans like a liquid. Its unique properties are ideal for cleaning and decellularizing tissue without altering its structure.2,3
Emerging Clinical Data
Recent real-world data presented at ACFAS 2025 shows the potential benefits of the NervAlign® Nerve Cuff in clinical practice.4
In a retrospective study of 13 patients treated with NervAlign®, mean VAS pain scores decreased by approximately 95% following surgery.
Mean VAS scores are shown rounded to one decimal place; percentage improvements were calculated using unrounded patient-level data. Mean follow-up was 9.6 months overall: 6.1 months in the NervAlign cohort and 14.1 months in the control cohort.

Indications for Use
The NervAlign® Nerve Cuff is indicated for the repair of peripheral nerve injuries in which there is no gap or where a gap closure is achieved by flexion of the extremity.
Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician. Do not use in patients with known sensitivity to porcine material or in vascular applications. Single use only; do not reuse or resterilize. Rehydrate before suturing. Possible complications of nerve repair surgery include pain, infection, decreased or increased nerve sensitivity, and complications associated with anesthesia. If infection, acute or chronic inflammation, or allergic reactions occur and cannot be resolved, careful removal of the device should be considered. Mineralization has been observed with NervAlign® implants. See the Instructions for Use for complete contraindications, warnings, precautions and preparation instructions.
